My name is Susan Latham and I have devoted myself full time to making sculpture since retiring from my profession as an Occupational therapist. I am also a dog lover.
Whenever I have to leave my home in beautiful Santa Fe New Mexico, my first choice for boarding my mini poodle, Toby, has been “private home boarding”. Home boarding offered Toby a chance to play with other dogs and be part of the host family. Not only did I feel good about this arrangement, but Toby seemed to enjoy it as well.
Since Toby loves to play with other dogs so much, I have long considered getting another to keep him company. Then it occurred to me that I could offer the same kind of service I had engaged for Toby and provide him with the canine companionship he needs. “My House, Your Dog” private home boarding of small dogs was born!
My beautiful new new home just outside the center of Santa Fe has two walled gardens, offering safety and variety for outdoor activity, an ideal situation for home boarding. I have just built an art studio on my property, so I am never away from home for very long. My partner Rhal shares my great affection for dogs and is delighted to be an active part of My House Your Dog home boarding service. Our canine guests are treated like “one of the family”, enjoying snuggle time on the couch, daily walks and play time with Toby inside and out.
